MOD – NIDV Project Day

On Tuesday 24 September 2024, the annual Defence-NIDV Project Day will once again take place in Utrecht.

The theme for the NIDV Project Day is ‘Working together to scale up’.

The morning part consists of plenary presentations and a forum discussion.

The afternoon part will consist partly of parallel interactive sessions on projects in the maritime, land, air/space and IT domains, with a choice of two sessions to participate in. It will end with a networking reception.

On the 26th and 27th of June, government special envoy Maxime Verhagen visited Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth together with reprentatives from the Ministry for economic affairs and climate, industry, and knowledge institutions and the NIDV.

A-letter for acquisition of 6 amphibious transport ships

Starting in 2032, the Royal Navy will have a new ship class consisting of six new ships: amphibious transport ships. The six are to replace the four Holland-class patrol ships and the two LPDs Zr.Ms. Rotterdam and Zr.Ms. Johan de Witt.
